Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

It's fun, it's on the second page (they open a new one once it gets to 4000 comments because of the captcha that kicks in at 5000), so if you leave prompts, make sure you put them on the most recent post. The ficathon runs for 30 days, so plenty of time to play. Abuse punctuation as much as you like, make grammar squeal in protest *grins* Fills don't HAVE to be 3 sentences, but it's fun seeing how many words can be crammed in. I've managed over 200...

I've made one shoe for Little Monkey Boy. The method (I actually followed the original YouTube vid) is insanely complicated, so I'll never use it for any other doll. I've also knitted roughly another two centimetres or so on the doll's scarf. After the day I'd just had I call that success.

The pattern is indeed unnecessarily complicated; and I was stupid enough to cut out the parts for *two* dolls in advance, so I'll have to make the girl doll before I could dump the pattern for good. *sigh*

Started crocheting a seven-point star blanket (mostly as an excuse to try out new crafting supplies) and it's going really well! Also started on a Tunisian crochet headband. Been a long time since I've done Tunisian crochet but it came back to me pretty fast. Yay for YouTube tutorials!

I don't know what Tunisian crochet is (TBH I don't have a clue about crocheting in general), but it sounds interesting.

Tunisian crochet is like a cross between knitting and crocheting? Done with a long crochet hook but the finished look is closer to knitting? Pretty fun, either way.
