Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Managed to finish the two cross stitches in time for Mum's birthday. She really liked them. Only downside is she wants to put them in a different room. The OCD part of me had to bite my tongue that I'd picked the designs and the frames specifically to match the spare bedroom colours and style.



Got back into making a few small cards from some new papers and embellishments I bought a little while back on temu.

It's annoying when people have other ideas of what to do with their gifts. But maybe your mum wants the pictures where she can look at them. I know I would.

Your cards are beautiful, I especially like the butterfly ones. No surprise there, I've always loved butterflies!

Thank you. Yes, I think she's angling to put them in the main sitting room instead because she said no one will see them in the spare room. Of course, if I'd been thinking about something for the main sitting room, I'd have chosen a different design and picked a 14ct instead of an 11ct. These were picked because they could sit behind each of the two single beds in that room, matching in with all the new bedcovers she bought. Pairs and triptychs of cross stitch designs are very hard to find so I was lucky with these that they were almost the right colour and similar theme to the bed covers. Sigh.
