Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.
Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?
There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.
This Week's Question: If you're making any, what are your crafting resolutions for 2025?
If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.
I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

I've continued with the colouring, trying to be a bit more adventurous with shy colours, sunsets and dawns instead of blue all the time. I've finished the twelve I photographed, and started on some of the rectangular ones I made on Christmas Day.
Will probably do some knitting later.

Stocking 5 is done. Two more to go. On the cuff of stocking 6.
I *may* bang out some crocheted trivets for older sister, if time allows, but stockings come first. I'd like to have SOMETHING for her to open other than a card with an IOU. Party is tomorrow, and they are due to arrive in about 24 hours from the time of this comment, so I might be able to whip some up before they arrive. But now: laundry, fixing up my room some more, then back to stocking-ing.
I AM GOING TO BE SELFISH AND CRAFT FOR MYSELF. :p

Good luck with the mini stockings and the trivets.
Excellent resolution! You've been making so much for everyone else.
Gender-fluid felts
The thing is, I was working on the head of my cute little rag doll that was supposed to be a girl. Only that when I was done, I had the head of a cheeky little boy full of mischief in my hand. I had to change things due to a design mistake on my part and whoop! The doll has changed gender behind my back!
So, apparently, I'll have to make this boy doll first. It's not such a hardship, actually, as the design is very similar, only the clothes (that I haven't even cut out yet) are different. The only problem is: all intended recipients are little girls under the age of a year. One of them will have to make do with a boy doll, I'm afraid. But I don't think they'll mind as long as the dolls are soft and huggable, right?
Re: Gender-fluid felts
Soft and huggable is always good. The only doll I really liked growing up was my boy doll.

Excellent resolution, one I should probably emulate since I'm forever damaging myself...

way too easy to overdo it, 'specially when I get really in the zone and just want to craft non-stop, slowly learning to pace myself better

It is, unfortunately, easy to get burned out, even on things we enjoy, if we do a lot of the same thing over a long period of time. Luckily, taking a break from it can bring the enthusiasm back. Good luck!

This time of year always seems to generate extra tasks.
