Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Sorted out the card blanks for the cards this morning, while there was daylight, I'm mostly using gold and silver cards, but I couldn't put gold toppers on gold cards or silver on silver, they wouldn't show up, and gold on silver or silver on gold didn't look right, so I used a few white cards. But silver doesn't show up well on white so I ended up making three cards, sacrificing three sheets of holographic card for them, two green and one red. Also used a few brown cards, not very interesting but with some decoration they'll be fine.


Just spent 2.5 hours sticking everything together at my desk, so now my back hurts again, but all 30 cards have their toppers attached. Tomorrow I need to start sorting out the insides, but it's also the Strictly final, so...

I doubt I'll get much done tomorrow, Strictly will take up most of the evening, but I can get back to working on the cards on Sunday. A few have gone a bit wonky, but I'm still pleased with the results.

First and foremost: the picture I've promised. Here I am, with this year's spread in my booth:



The Christmas fair was a success, I sold a great many things and distributed the rest among my (ex-)colleagues as gifts. I'm now taking a crafting break until at least Christmas, possibly even longer, to concentrate on my writing... unless some irresistible inspiration hits. But I really hope it won't. I need that break the worst way.

Thanks. I'm quite content with my achievement as well as with the money I've raised. That children's hospital we've chosen as the recipient will be delighted.
