Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

I've started putting together a 65th birthday card fir my friend. I already stitched the cross stitch piece back in the late spring / early summer, so I've found patterned paper to go behind it, cut that to size, found a blank card (white, unfortunately, because I can't get at the coloured ones, or my coloured card without moving everything in the room, and there's no room for manoeuvre) and stuck all that together. Next I need to sort through my peel off stickers to see what I want to use on it.


Also knitted 20 rows on the current arm warmer.

I would have looked better with bright yellow, but the yellow cards I can get at were too small =(

That's the thing with cards: either they aren't the right colour or the right size. :(

I finished a set of dish scrubbies yesterday, which was the last thing for the wedding box. All I have left to do is block the doily and pack it for mailing.

So, I thought I should work on holiday cards. I made a mini sweater that is cute but too fiddly to make several of at this point. Going to switch to a star, and I'm thinking orange & purple stars.

Sounds like the wedding gift is practically sorted! Will there be a photo of the doily at some point? I do love seeing those.

Stars always look pretty! I'm sure they will be lovely.

Yes, hopefully Thurs or Friday if I get it blocked tomorrow. The sage green isn't turning up in photos well so I want a good sunny day.

At this time of year, good sunny days can be in short supply. I was lucky I got one today. Hope you get the sunshine when you need it!

I worked a bit on my next embroidered card. It still isn't finished, but this was a busy day and I didn't want to make another stupid mistake by being hasty.

I keep opening these posts, forgetting to post, then closing because the next post has already happened. Oops.

Trying to remember what I've been achieving. I've definitely made progress on the arm warmers. The 'sort the stash' has resulted in three paper bags of sewing patterns to go (and now the drawer closes!) plus a full 140L crate. What it hasn't done is turn up the missing pieces I need for finishing some tasks. I did find more interesting pink yarn that has gone into the icecream colour blanket, I could call that finished but I want it to be 1 m^2. Still don't have a recipient for it, but if I can work out how to contact the charity that takes them that will be the right size.

It's easy to get distracted by other things.

Yay for progress on the arm warmers, and double yay for the stash sorting, even though it hasn't turned up what you're looking for.

The blanket will be gratefully received by the charity, I'm sure.
