Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

This Week's Question: What's on your holiday wish list this year?

If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.

I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

Now I am sure: you are secretly growing new arms!

Well done!

And if you are secretly growing extra arms, could you tell me how? They would be handy.

Drat. They would be.

I’ve finished Frosty, the snowman, with his lopsided gift box and hand-knitted scarf.

Look at hím - isn’t he cute?

I can't actually remember when I last checked in, but I've had several sessions of knitting on the wingspan shawl (usually 2 rows each) and on the eclectic cable scarf (averaging about 10 to 15 rows each time) while watching DVDs from the library. I've run out of Poirot, so I switched to Murdoch Mysteries until I ran out of that, and am now on Midsomer Murders. Hopefully, I'll be able to get more DVDs at the library Monday.

On Thanksgiving itself, I had a pretty much all day knitting session with the wingspan shawl, with breaks for food prep, eating, and checking on cats, but it only added another 4 rows.

Last Monday was card making with Lynne again. While I dislike Thanksgiving and doing crafts for it, I know Lynne is very into it, so I thought we'd do fun cards inspired by the hand turkeys they make kids do in kindergarten. Lynne was happy with the finished product, but was less enthused with the process. Sometimes I forget that the more childlike the process, the more difficult it is for her. The cards I have planned for this coming Monday are much more grown-up looking. They should be fine. While I was at Lynne's, I also designed 2 Christmas themed cards, instead of 1 set.

Wednesday was the second to last session on the art book workshop. I didn't think to put wax paper between the pages of my book after the last time I worked on it, so there were a lot of boo boos where things stuck together to fix or work around. It was a fun session though.

I have also preregistered my mom and myself for an ornament making workshop.

It's kinda funny that the question is about what's on your holiday wishlist because most of the last week's downtime was trying to get my wishlist for holiday_wishes (done) and my wishlist for fandomtrees (still not done) finished. If someone asks me IRL what I want this year, they are probably just going to get a deer in the headlights look.

Thank you. The last row I knitted on the shawl today was up to 325 stitches across. It's a bit too smooshed together on the needles to really measure it yet.

Thanks. I have my fingers crossed for tomorrow to go smoothly.

Thanks. The boo boos gave me more excuses to collage more in, a win for everyone ;) It looks like it will be. It's going to be lead by the same woman who did the miniature spell book workshop.

No worries! You didn't add any stress. I promise.

The last row I knitted was 355 stitches across. I'm trying to enlist some help in actually measuring it. With the way it curves and the size of it, it's going to take extra hands.

Thanks x2. My mom is very excited.
