Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

20 rows on the arm warmer, only 20 left on this one then I can make its mate.


Also knitted 3 rows on the Aran jacket, the start of the pattern, and I'm considering undoing them and replacing one of the cable patterns because I don't like the one that's used. It's a fiddly and finnicky twist rather than a cable, and three rows in I'm already finding it intensely annoying. Need to look at some alternatives.

No sense to continue the pattern if you don't like it - you'd just end up with a jacket you'd never wear and that would be a shame.

I'd probably never finish it because it's so annoying. I'm sure I can do something better.

I would do the same. Not want to finish the annoying twist so it would need replaced.

Now I just need to find a suitable replacement. I've switched up cables before, I just need something that will work for all sections.

No crafting today. But I've bought the two sheets of hard green felt I would need to finally bind that dratted quiet book. So... first steps and all that.

Ahhhh the binding will soon begin! Other than Velcro that always looks the hardest.

Actually, it is worse than Velcro because I always have to question myself whether it will work this time or not.

I started the doily for my cousin (finally). I selected sage green thread, though I'm still thinking about black. Maybe I'll make a black one for myself sometime soon.

I drove our (new to us) truck up to the Habitat store (charity hardware shop). Scored a good sized container of very nice galvanized nails to continue some siding repairs I'm working on. I have also realized I need to check the truck bed, as tons of leaves had fallen in it and were swirling out as I went down the street!

The leaf thing is something I hadn't thought about with regard to trucks. Somewhere else to sweep leaves out of.
