Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.
Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?
There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.
This Week's Question: No question this week.
If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.
I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

I completed the 50th row of my arm warmer last night, and I've added another 20 today, leaving just 30 rows to go on this pair.

Almost, you just need an 'e' on the end - centipede.

And now I can see with my inner eye a centipede with arm warmers of a different colour on each pair of legs.

May they never gain sentience and rise up against you.

I also made the body for a third angel; I intend this one to be pale pink or pale purple, depending on the shades of felt and tulle I have in my stock. Found chenille wire in both colours for the arms, so I'm all set. She'll also have yellow hair, I think.
I also started decorating some envelopes to go with the stitched cards, in case someone would want envelopes, too.

The next angel will be lovely in either colour,
Have fun with decorating the envelopes!

Yesterday was card making with Lynne. The bad I was expecting didn't come up and card making was mostly smooth, but the housekeeper was there and she managed to rile things up a little bit. Thankfully not as much as usual. Lynne was in "Queen of the Manor" mode which made things a tiny bit difficult, but she was in a good mood, which helped. The main hurdle was the tape runners - one ran out of tape and the other broke, leaving me to scramble for alternative adhesives in the last part of card making. (We were gluing kraft paper moths to pretty paper.) I've been assured multiple times by Lynne's son & Lynne's sister they're going to buy more, but they have yet to materialize. I have already contributed 3 of my own which we've burned through. If we have to resort to glue sticks, we will. Also, Lynne's son did not join us at all and I'm not sure what the fallout will be from that. He knew I was there. We waited a few minutes for him to join us before we started. After we made our cards, I designed the next one, did all the prep work for it, cleaned up, & had awkward small talk, it had been 2 hours. I went home. I left the supplies of the card we made.
I also found out what Lynne's problem with her son being on the phone all the time is - he has a girlfriend. He is almost always texting with her. She said, and I quote, "it's disgusting." Mystery sort of solved.

Also, god for son getting a girlfriend, even if Lynne isn't happy about it. He's entitled to live his life.

Yes.
