Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.
Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?
There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.
This Week's Question: No question this week.
If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.
I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

I have finished knitting the second arm warmer, but I haven't cast off yet. Also picked out the colour for the next pair so I have something simple to work on during Strictly.
Last night I ran out of pumpkins so I'll have to get more knitted ready for next year. I was able to hand the completed arm warmers to neighbour and neighbour's daughter when they came round to see my display, however. They were both delighted =D I'll miss them when they move.

Allow yourself a break after such a hard day. You've deserved it.

I still have my spook_me fic to finish, got another chapter sorted and posted but I didn't have the brain to work on it beyond that. I hurt all over, but I still made myself do my physio exercises. I've been very good. I stiffen up every time I sit down, but I can't stand for long either because my feet hurt.

I hear you on the Halloween set up and take down. I'm convinced our neighbors that do the haunted house every year must secretly have magic elves helping them or something.
Well done on the arm warmers.
That's wonderful your neighbors liked their arms warmers. It's a shame to lose good neighbors.

I wish I had magic elves, lol!
Thank you! It really is. I hope the new neighbours will be as nice.

Magic elves would be so helpful.
Fingers crossed

Today, I knitted on the eclectic cable scarf for a few rows. I'd intended on writing for a few minutes for MiFuNoSo at ushobwri, but it's not happening.
I also did the last little bit of post bingo hosting stuff at allbingo (it's creative/crafting adjacent xD), got the names of who made bingo to the friend who makes the banners for us, and signed up to host again next year.
There is more I want to share, but I'm suddenly exhausted.

Also yay for progress on the scarf!
(I'm STILL writing my spook_me fic, but I did get the first chapter up in time to make the Master List, and the first 6 chapters are posted).
Hope you got plenty of Trick or Treaters!

I will not let it beat me! LOL.
You can do it!!
We had quite a few, mostly older kids, which was a surprise, but with the off and on storming we probably only had half as many as last year. So much leftover candy.

I'm making progress, my boys are finally starting to put a few dents in the monster.
Sometimes the older kids are the most fun. I'm sure you'll find a use for the leftover candy. Sucks that the weather was bad though.

You're getting there!
They are. I'm not sure why some people are so down on them. Most of it is gummy bears so... Yeah. It's probably not going to survive the end of the year. It used to be our normal weather that the big storms would start around Halloween (and you planned your costume accordingly), but it's been tame the last few years.

Gummy bears are popular, or so I've heard.
Autumn weather is fickle.

XD They are popular with me at least. Also because it was the Haribo trick or treat pack, there are also many packages of sour gummy bats. ;)
It is indeed that.

Sadly, Haribo only puts them out at Halloween.

On the other hand I just lost said scarf. It wouldn't take very long to redo it But. The purple yarn I used back then as since been discontinued. The first substitute I found for it, too. The second one depends either on a 800 km trip to my parents' home region or on ordering online--with uncertainty on the exact colour and added shipping fees. Or, I could use the third substitute yarn I'll be using for their scarf too, but I'm not entirely happy with its hue.
