Check-In Post March 21st 2021
Hello to all members, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.
Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?
There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.
Today's Question: No question today.
If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.
I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

What was that? What was I knitting? Oh, um... arm warmers? I know, I'm weak, but I had some blue-grey yarn left over from a pair I made for my neighbour, and I really like it, so I was hoping there'd be enough for a short pair for myself.
Plus I really am weak right now, physically. My hands and arms hurt from sawing down the massive buddleia, which is now done for this year. I had intended to get back to the white sleeveless summer top, I still have to do the arm bands, but my poor arms couldn't handle the weight, so back to making arm warmers I went.

And hooray for having pruned all the buddleias - you must be very pleased to have got that done.

You have no idea how pleased. I hah to saw through a 4.5 inch thick trunk, cut it off about 3 feet up, which meant what I was cutting off was about nine feet tall and I had to try to hold it up with one hand while I finished sawing so it didn't fall on the shed or on my head, then drop the saw and lift the top of the buddleia down. Not the first time I've done things like that though, so I know what I'm doing and I'm very careful. Also very tired now.

Honestly, I have what I call Pandemic Socks for a reason. If armwarmers are your comfort knitting, keep knitting them!

I may well have arm warmers on the go for some time to come, sometimes I need something simple, but I do want to get back to bigger projects once my arms recover.

Also, the amount of veg and herb starts I saw at the garden centre tells me I’m waaaay behind in my sowing *sigh*
I’m planning to do a bit of knitting later this evening during pre-bedtime TV, but it’ll be too late to come back and post ^_^

It's not to late to start things off, they'll just crop a bit later, which isn't necessarily a bad thing.
Have fun knitting tonight!
