Hello to all members, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Today's Question: No question today.

If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.

I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

At least you'll be able to match your arm warmers to your outfit!

And hooray for having pruned all the buddleias - you must be very pleased to have got that done.

I'm glad you're careful - that's a lot of buddleia to have landing on your head!

Sorry you’re feeling so done in from the gardening!

Honestly, I have what I call Pandemic Socks for a reason. If armwarmers are your comfort knitting, keep knitting them!

That's a lot of rows! Woo hoo!

I have finished my hat (picture when I do my monthly craft post). My cross stitch is 3/4 done. And the sunflower head is sewn up - and not floppy, and I've almost finished knitting the stalk. A very productive weekend.

I was suddenly unsure if I should mention your Instagram XD

It's fine. I don't share it everywhere, but I'm not worried here.

Thank you. Uploading photos does take a bit of time, so it's easier to do a post of everything at once.

Today (and this weekend) has been garden focused. We went to the gardening centre and a related (outdoor) shop. We spent the day outside. I transplanted some starts that had outgrown their space. I sowed an enormous quantity of seeds, now in the kitchen window. I was going to do everything from seed this year, but I saw some rosemary and oregano at the garden centre and thought “well, the seeds sown herbs take time to establish and if I have to buy it fresh from the shop for culinary use then it’s costing more than buying a pot that’s already establishing.” So I did that. I plan to put them in large parts at put them just outside the porch for an easy kitchen access herb garden. (I also want to put some in my further afield kitchen garden, because I use a lot of herbs.)

Also, the amount of veg and herb starts I saw at the garden centre tells me I’m waaaay behind in my sowing *sigh*

I’m planning to do a bit of knitting later this evening during pre-bedtime TV, but it’ll be too late to come back and post ^_^

You do look to have been very productive this weekend - I look forward to seeing the fresh produce later in the year.

Gardens are the best! Never let the plant places make you think it's too late to plant things. I've been surprised at many things which have decided to self seed at weird times of the year and done really well!
