Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Sewed up one of the pairs of arm warmers I found lurking in my knitting basked and pinned another pair ready to sew up. Three pairs left to do.


The weather is miserable now, storms yesterday evening and rain most of today, so there will probably not be any more gardening this year. Maybe I can finish off a few unfinished projects that are lurking. I know I have a couple of sweaters to finish.

Indeed. But as it gets colder I'll be glad to stay inside. Or I will be once the heating is on. Right now it's still warmer outside.

Culinary crafting today. I've baked four different sorts of Italian-style biscuits for the party I'm planning to throw on Saturday (assuming that the invited guests do show up).

So do I. A repeat performance of the day (back in my youth) when I sat there with all my goodies and nobody showed up would be depressing.

Worked on house project for a bit. It's gone from 95F for days to 63F (17C) today. It's actually cooler now than when I woke.

I haven't started the doily, could not decide on a color. I asked about the wedding colors. Black and white. I suppose I have black thread.

Oh, that is a big change in temperature.

Good that you now know the wedding colours. So is it between a black and a white doily or is black&white in one doily also on the table? I think I only ever saw the in one colour at a time but I haven't seen a lot of them. Best wishes for planning and then starting the doily. Please keep us updated :-)

Glad you're getting cooler temps, although that sounds a bit too cool.

Hm, I suppose black and white will be quite striking. Wouldn't be my choice for a wedding though.

OMG, folks, I did it, I started crocheting this Sunday! :D I am doing the first gauge and teaching myself the herringbone stitch at the same time so it is a lot of work but not as hard as I had feared and it is also a lot of fun, yay.

I also wrote 3 letters. Hoping to write more letters and do more crocheting today after I Sleep. It is Monday here already but I am still on my paid time off.

ETA: Still commenting from my phone. I am hoping to go on DW from my laptop and finally reply to your wonderful comments on my earlier comment threads this week.
