Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Because of today's less than inspiring weather forecast, I went outside before breakfast and spent an hour digging. To my surprise, although it was very grey and dull, it still wasn't raining in the early afternoon, so I thought I might get a bit more digging done. Half an hour in, the sun came out and despite a gusty wind, it was quite warm, so I spent the entire afternoon out there, about three and a half hours, dug over the rest of the cleared patch and swept the path. I'm sure I didn't get all the roots, there are bound to be some I missed, but I filled my bucket three times, so come spring there should be a lot less roots to deal with.


Now my back aches and my hands hurt, but I don't have to do any digging tomorrow so I'll probably survive. At least tomorrow night I can relax and work on knitting the second arm warmer. =)

Giving yourself a break sounds like a good idea. You've done a great deal of gardening.

I really have, and I overdid it today, but it might well be the last chance I get and I really wanted to get as many of the dock roots out as I could find. It means I might even be able to have flowers next year!

Wow, that is a lot of gardening! Hope your body recovers nicely and I hope your arm warmer goes well :-)

Thanks, it really was a lot. My hands still hurt, but I have arthritis so that's not surprising. The rest of me is tired, lol. But I got that patch dug over when I didn't even think I'd get the weeds cleared off the surface because of the weather we were supposed to get, so I'm feeling very pleased. And tired. *grins*

The day was full of chores and errands. Still, I worked a tiny bit on my second lavender sachet. Not even close to finishing it, but I wanted to do at least a little something for myself. Or rather for the fair. Whatever. Tomorrow promises to be just as bad, but I'll try to finish the sachet.

Oh noes, the dreaded day full of errands! Glad you still carved out a bit of time for crafting. I hope your weekend goes smoother than expected and there's more time for crafts.

I wish! Alas, tomorrow will be laundry day as well as the day on which I'll have to do the second part of the cleaning, so...

It's already Saturday here in Germany but this is the current post so: my second shipment from the other yarn shop arrived yesterday/Friday! The third yarn I had put in this order (don't ask, I said I overdid it >.<) was not in the box and the invoice said it sold out. The third yarn was a teal 100% mercerised cotton yarn. It is still out of stock. It appears I get to reconsider my order of the mercerised cotton, hehe.

Today a friend is visiting but either in the evening or on Sunday, I'm going to attempt a gauge oh yay! Can't wait.

No crafting this Friday for me, was busy running errands and doing paperwork.

Yay for yarn, but boo for one item being out of stock. I hope that doesn't happen with the yarn I've ordered...
