Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

I'd planned to work on my cross stitch today because it was supposed to be rainy and stormy, but things dried our by early afternoon so I shifted dome more bags of coal into the shed and since it still wasn't raining, I set to work with the garden fork and finished digging the worst roots out of the patch I'd cleared. It was hard work, but I think I got most of the docks, or the parts I could manage without digging a three-foot deep hole. Got some bramble roots out too, and potted up a piece of regular honeysuckle so I can find somewhere better for it.


Also sound something else peculiar in the ground, a round whitish ball that resembles a small turnip. No idea what it is. I'll have to try photographing it.

Your accidental vegetable garden is gaining space as you clean the way for it. ;))

I don't think it IS a turnip, I think it must be a bulb or corm of some sot, but it's interesting. Think I'll plant it in a pot after I take a picture of it.

Tree gnomes v2

Lo and behold today's creations:



I think they look better now that I used ticker chenille wires for the limbs. The first one looked way too malnourised. *g* I also wrote the second half of their story, but that needs to be translated into English yet.

One-quarter of my scarf in and it was going good and looking pretty yet I still decided to frog it and redo it to try and space out the waves a bit more.

I did the neck ribbing, short rows and a bit of the colourwork yoke of my latest project over yesterday and today. It's the second time starting it after I decided to replace one of the colours I was originally planning to use that just didn't have enough contrast.
