Hello to all members, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

The Green/Navy/White arm warmers are sewn up and the first blue pair prepatred, but sewing them up in poor light could be tricky.

Did get out in the garden for about an hour and a half, got one of the buddleias cut back, one in the front garden. The other out there got cut way down in autumn so that'll do for now. Still got two more in the back garden to cut back.

Yay, another pair of arm warmers completed!

What colour are your buddleias?

The one I just cut back is a deeper purple, the other out front and the two out back are a lighter purple, more like a lilac. We didn't plant any of them, they just grew. We built a little raised bed around the first. It grew in some leftover builder's sand that was piled on the concrete, rooted down through a crack, so we decided it could stay. The bed is mostly taken over by bergenias and some nettles for the red admirals.

I do like buddleia. They do attract the butterflies.

They do, although there weren't so many last year. On a good year there are hundreds. People stop to watch them.

I managed to make some progress on ply 2/3 on my spinning last night. At first I just took out the wool to prepare it for when I had a chance to sit down and spin, but then I decided even if it was only 5 minutes it was worth moving and sitting at the wheel. (It’s in my craft room when not in use, but my craft room is currently more of a craft storage unit than a place where crafting actually happens so I need to move it out of the craft room to use it.)

Yay for spinning progress!

My 'craft room' used to be my sister's bedroom when we were kids. It's tiny, and used to have everything stuffed in it floor to ceiling, but I've been trying to turn it into a craft room for years, and like yours, at present it's still mostly craft storage. Perhaps I'll get there someday, before I'm too old.
