Hello to all members, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Sewn up my salmon pink arm warmers, and prepared the mixed green, white, and navy blue pair. They're the shortest ones, and I'm hoping I can manage to sew them up despite their darkish colour and the lack of good illumination in the evenings. Energy saving light bulbs don't give good light for crafting, it's too yellow.

Hopefully enough to keep me cosy through the damp and chilly days of summer and the cold of winter! But I can always knit more if I run out. ;)

Have you considered a LED lamp for crafting? They use very little energy and give a bright, white light. I have low energy bulbs in the house which are great for everything except craft. Enter... The Lamp.

I've got a small battery-operated one that I'll probably use tonight, it I'm in a sewing up mood. Couldn't use it last night because Wednesday evening is when the mobile fishmonger comes, and when I use my little lamp everywhere seems so dark when I'm away from it. My eyesight isn't so great and trekking outside half blinded would not be a good idea, lol!

I made a very beautiful saag paneer last night. My Mr called it “impressive” and he’s one for understatement and not much praise. (Most nights my dinners are “pleasant.”)

But otherwise it was boring needful things that had to be done post child bedtime, so no time with my spinning wheel :(

If not tonight, then Thursday night. It’s Mr’s D&D night and once the Enting goes to bed I never do chores. If he gets a play night, so do I XD (Usually I craft and watch something on streaming.)

Although actually tomorrow is the bi-weekly virtual craft meet for the SCA (medieval reenactment), so maybe I’ll be able to prioritize it then.

Definitely, if one's off having fun then the other should have a night off too, it's only fair.

I've completed the first 22 rows of my sister's garment—all the first lace section is done. Endless stocking stitch to follow!
