Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

No crafting today, and no gardening either. I was out all morning and too tired when I got home so I just did some writing and I plan to read some fanfic.


What's everyone else up to?

Same here. Taking out Mum to the café is always exhausting, as I have to go very slowly and with tiny little steps to support her. The quick grocery shopping afterwards gave me the rest.

No crafting here, only continuing to pick up from the storm. I truly got the last of it today though - raked the grass to get the majority of the tiny stuff.

I've been working on several small things lately. I made a few knit bows. They are super simple. Once they are done, you can tie it to a hair tie or use it as decoration. I'm thinking about selling these since they are quick to make & don't use a lot of yarn. I can also knit them while watching tv since they are so simple. The issue is I don't know if anyone would want them & I don't want to make a bunch and then not sell them or use them. I can go do a 1 day indoor market to try but its $40 for a booth space. Plus I don't have a table or brand or anything. I may try to go as shopper & scope the place out. Talk to some of the other vendors to get a vibe or ideas. I don't want to directly compete with anyone if I can help it.

I've been using the darning kit that I got a while back to darn socks that have holes in them. It's working well so far. I've done some socks including 1 pair of commercial socks & a few handknit ones.

Yesterday I went through my stash & picked up an old sock project. I figured out what pattern I was using & where I am on it. It's the second sock. I'm at the heel where you pick up stiches for the gusset. I packed it to work on during my partner's doctor appointment today. Hopefully I can work on it without getting to frustrated. Its been a while since I've made any socks.

The bows sound fun, but $40 is a lot for a booth, especially if you don't make enough sales to pay for it. I used to do craft fairs occasionally, but it ended up not being wort the effort.
