Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

As planned, I skipped gardening today and just stayed in. It poured with rain in the morning, so everything would have been dripping on me anyway.


Instead, I did some cross stitch and finished the fourth rose apart from back stitch, so I'm very pleased with that =)

I needed it to be honest. All the gardening has made everything hurt more than it usually does. Going out today hasn't helped either.

I've finished Card #25 and took a group picture from #13-25. As you can see, they are of different levels of sophistication; my favourite is the wreath with the large bow and the red berries.



The colours are just a tad milder in original; I've edited the photo for sharpness and that darkened the colours somewhat. Still, I think they look well enough.

I love the wreath card as well but they're all great. Brings back memories of making these. I'll have to find my pattern book and send you a copy.

An actual pattern book would be lovely. I get my patterns by printing out cards from the internet and guessing where the holes are supposed to be…

I did manage to find my patterns (amazing they were in a box exactly where I thought they might be!) There are three large snowflakes and four other generic designs so I'll scan them and send them to you so you can print off copies to your hearts content and just punch through the paper straight onto the cards.

The book I was thinking of was actually for spirella which is wrapping the threads around card cut with pinking shears.





Let me know if that's of interest as well. There's dozens of designs in that book. :)

Thank you, the patterns will be welcome. I’ ve never heard of spirella, though. Sounds intriguing but I really not up to learning new crafts at the moment.
