Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

This Week's Question: What is your most essential piece of crafting equipment?

If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.

I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

Awww, your poor finger! How did you hurt it?
Monday, August 19th, 2024 10:02 pm (UTC)
És, unfortunately. Better spare yourself further injuries.

I'm so sorry about your finger! I hope it's better tomorrow when you get to the cross stitch. Well done on the outside work!

Good luck tackling those shrubs :D Hope you have a great cross-stitching sesh tomorrow :)

I hope the weather clears up for you soon! But cross stitching while it rains outside sounds nice and cozy :)

I worked a bit on my complicated beaded card and did some research for the Enterprise AU - small steps but progress nonetheless. The stitched part of the card is now finished, as well as one trio of red berries/beads. Four more to go. *sigh*

I also selected the next two designs I'm planning to do: one is the baby Jesus in front of a Gothic church window, the other is Mary with a candle. Both look a lot easier than they really are; I've done them before and especially the Mary one is maddening, with all those complicated vectors. But it's beautiful once it's finished, so I'll give it another try. At the first time I messed up the counting and that led to rather disappointing results. The Baby Jesus one is my own work, the Mary one found on Pinterest, just FYI.

I'm thinking of making them on two different shades of purple, although perhaps lighter colours would do better as background. But I do have these pieces of cardstock cut to the right size (have had them lying around for years, in fact), so I don't want to cut up new sheets before they'd be used up.

Yes, they are. But sooo pretty!

Thank you.:)

They definitely do not look easy. Very pretty though! Good luck!

Oh, both of those designs look so lovely!

Four more rows on the baby blanket - 23/119 rows done!

You fight the gargantuan task well!

I've got half the hooks sewn onto the roses curtains. Yesterday I was tired and just went to bed really early with a book which is a whole lot better than I expected it to be.

Speak about pleasant surprises! You deserved that break. 😴

And it's a research book, so I thought it would be full of good info but a bit boring which is often the case with text books, but it's great.

I've finished the hooks on the roses curtain. I mean, there are more to do, but the main biggest one is done so that's what needed to be done. Back to work on that kountusz. Yes. That's still not finished.
