I just learned a cool new technique (a double yarn-over buttonhole), which gave me an idea for some questions for the community. What new techniques have people learned this year? Which ones are their favorites?

What new techniques have people learned this year? Which ones are their favorites?t's a very handy technique to make slightly larger buttonholes. I've used it myself.
