Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

I was out all morning, so the only cross stitch I've managed today was the last small leaf on my windowsill's geranium. Managed to stitch that before I left the house, then I didn't get home until after 1pm after wandering around the shops running errands. Not much in the way of craft supplies in the charity shops, just a pack of googly eyes and some orange wool for knitting pumpkins. I did find some other wool I wanted in another shop, put it on the counter while looking at other stuff, and another customer bought it =(


After I had a rest, I went outside and tackled some more of the honeysuckle for a bit, since this is the last really good day and I didn't want to waste the whole sunny afternoon sitting indoors, but now I'm worn out.

I've made them before, but I don't think I ever posted a picture. Hoping to make some more, but probably not this year. Too busy with cross stitching.

It was my own fault, I should have made sure the ladies behind the counter knew they were things I wanted to buy.

Very, since both the women customers in the shop had seen me with the wool in my hands. They must have known I intended to buy it, so that was rather rude of whichever one it was.

Very annoying on the wool you set aside. I have become careful about that kind of thing, too. Orange wool for knitting pumpkins sounds like fun, though!

Yes, it was very annoying, and very rude. I got three 100g balls of the orange, so that should make plenty of pumpkins when I get around to it.

I've made some before, but I don't have many left so I'll definitely need more for next year.

Yes, very rude of the other customer to sneakily buy something she'd seen me take to the counter.

LMAO! Finding a suitable way to phrase things can be hard. I'm always rewriting comments in the hopes they'll make better sense.

I'm still at the card-making. I'm planning to continue with them as long as I enjoy it - there is no actual goal I want to reach re: numbers.

Unfortunately, the colours didn't come through true. The one star on the left is actually blue and the one on the right is purple. Dratted photos always twist the colours.

I really do. After all those projects with tight deadlines it's very relaxing to make them.

While today's been spent cooking, yesterday, I finished a beaded choker that I was learning peyote stitch on. I just need to get a clasp for it tomorrow. Technically, I had learned the stitch before, but I was more or less winging it and didn't understand how the rows were defined. I've only really done bead embroidery before, so beading for jewelry is new to me. I like the feel of it!

No crafting today. Our library has a summer reading challenge going. It doesn't end until the 15th, but when you turn in your tracking sheet, you get to pick out 2 enamel pins as a prize for finishing and by then, I will be house sitting off in the middle of nowhere-ish with no transportation. I'm not getting this close and not getting my pins, so I'm trying to finish the last few books this weekend. (Also, some of my books are overdue and while our library no longer has fines, they do shut down your account after so many days, so twice the motivation XD.)
