Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

No work on clearing the path today, instead I was cutting back the overhanging shrubs because it's hard to work when there are branches in the way dropping bits down the back of my shirt and bonking me on the head. I worked on that until I started getting blisters, then cleared more rubbish out of the greenhouse. Tomorrow might be raining so I don't know if I'll get to do anything outside.


I've finished stitching the window frame and the plant pot on my cross stitch, so now I'm stitching the geraniums. Hopefully finish this one in a couple more days, and then...

The never-ending battle continues. I hope your blisters will go away, soon, so that you can stitch comfortably.

Fortunately the blisters don't interfere with stitching, just with pruning. They're not on my stitching fingers. I stopped before the blisters burst, so I'm hoping they'll heal fast.

I figured you would have to tackle that from the photos the other day.

That end isn't even too bad. The other end, the branches were almost touching the ground in places. There's still more to cut back, but my hand needs a break from pruning because of the blisters. Forecast for today is thundery showers though, so I might not be able to do much out there anyway.

Loads of gardening done, yay! I hope the blisters won't impede your crafting. Yay for doing some more stitching on the cross stitch, though!

What is next after this cross stitch is done?

Thank you! Still a lot to do, but I'm making visible progress.

More cross stitch! *grins* Haven't decided which yet. Could be roses, could be farm animals, could be something else entirely. I have so many designs to choose from...

I did some more card stitching today.

Behold Card #5:



This one took me three days; not because the pattern would be complicated - it is not - but because the sheer number of stitches. It turned out well enough, so I'm content.

And now for cards 6-8:



These are basically three different versions of the same pattern; really simple ones, well suited for using up smaller pieces of cardboard.

They're all lovely! It's amazing the different ways one design can be stitched to make different patterns.

I had fun trying out different versions. There are some more designs that I can - and intend - to do the same with.

And yay, any project that uses up small pieces of cardboard is great in my book. :D

I've worked on the trivet some. This morning I hustled around cooking before it warmed up too much.
