Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Sewn up another pair of arm warmers and got the next pair prepared. I think there are two more pairs I can sew up without needing extra light. Then there are four dark pairs that might have to wait until the evenings get a bit lighter, unless I sew them up earlier in the day.

Not really, but I do have a knitting machine. It was mum's and before the pandemic it I was hoping to sell it, but... That's a bit difficult at present.

Come winter I'll be able to sit at my computer nice and cosy and still be able to type!

I'm now 70% of the way through my cross stitch. And bee three has one wing - one more wing to go and they'll be ready to go to my mother tomorrow for Mother's Day.

I'll have to lok into getting that knitting book myself. Sounds like it has some great designs in it.

It's hard to know what to give her, so something small and homemade seemed best.

Maybe someday I’ll pull out the cross stitch again... just wasn’t my cup of tea but I love the pattern I have and I want to put it up in Enting’s room eventually.

It needs a lot of concentration I've found. Whereas knitting I can listen to an audio book at the same time.

I didn't craft today. A doctor at one of our hospitals tested positive to Covid and our hospital is picking up all their emergency patients and elective surgery, so we are all exhausted. I'm hoping to do a little hood embroidery later this afternoon. Kitty is getting a bit better today, so a day at home for both of us.

Not surprised you're exhausted! All hospital staff are under tremendous pressure even without having to take on more work.

I didn’t do any crafting in the mid-week, but yesterday my spinning wheel arrived! After my son went to bed, I dug through my long neglected spinning wool stash and went for a spin ^_^ A old obsession has been reborn....
