Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

The weather has once again ben unexpectedly kind. Rain was forecast for this afternoon, but it held off so although it was noticeably cooler, I got a lot done out in the garden, almost an hour before breakfast and another 2.5 hours, maybe more, this afternoon. It's raining a bit now though, so I don't know whether gardening will be possible tomorrow. I've cleared most of the patch of garden I've been working on, and I'm making progress unearthing the concrete path that has been under ivy, honeysuckle, and a load of plant pots forever.


Finished the last sheep last night! I have now embarked on a secret project for a friend. It's very complicated stitching, mostly in several shades of two colours, but I'm making reasonable progress.

I'm being mysterious, because I don't want my friend hearing about it. I doubt she would since she'd not a member here, but it doesn't hurt to be cautious. All will be revealed after it's done and sent to my friend, so there will be a photo at some point. I still have several other projects to post pictures of, once I get around to taking them.

Not sure if I'll get outside again today. I did a bit of work this morning, but the forecast for this afternoon is rain. Still, if I can't garden I can still cross stitch...

Today was relatively quiet, soI used the opportunity to finish one pot holder. Only three more to do, and this particular project will be over, too, having repurposed some 80% of Mum's favourite dress. Well, calling it a dress was probably exaggerated: it was a tunic, made of the stuff usually t-shirts are made, and thus hell to work with, as the fabric tends to go out of shape if you sew it by hand. But Mum has liked the so far 4 pot holders I've made, so it's worth it.

Well done in finishing another potholder. I know you're still sweltering in the heat, so managing to do much of anything is an accomplishment.

And I tend to set them on fire way too often, so replacements are important. *g*
