Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

The first sheep is finished, but its face is a bit weird... Ah well, psycho sheep...


Only got one batch of cut fabric left to prep, then I can cut the next batch!

Psycho sheep totally do exist! If you watch the GBBO, they sometimes show the sheep grazing near the tent: they have faces that give me the creeps. Especially the black ones!

I have seen psycho sheep in the past too, lol. Mine are black-faced ones, and there will be one with black fleece too. A whole flock of demented sheep yet to come... I might stitch borders around the designs, haven't decided for sure yet.

They all are, in their own woolly ways. So far I have a Woolly Jumper, The Sheep Look Up (labelled after a novel on my bookshelves), and The Black Sheep (for obvious reasons). Not sure what to call number 4...

I haven’t posted in forever; life have been quite heavy with little energy for crafting.

I am still journaling, and the newest thing I made is a picture collage for my niece with pictures of us at a Taylor Swift concert.

I have some beautiful yarn laying around waiting for my summer break to start – to make a baby blanket for the little one my nephew and his wife is expecting.

Over the past months I have also tried my hand at visible mending, and I plan on doing more of that and trying embroidery over the summer.

I'm a teacher so I should have time enough, and if not the baby won't be here until September.

Good luck! I was a teacher for 40 years, too, and I still remember how shockingly short the summer breaks always proved to be. :)

I've actually finished binding the baby book:



The picture is a bit doctored: I added more contrast while editing, so that the pattern would be more visible. That changed the colours a little, but I think it was worth it. I've already posted a pic of the front cover with the true colours, after all.

Then I got stubborn and finished another lavender sachet; this time a linen one, originating from a blouse I didn't like and hardly ever wore, so I cut it up for creative use. There will be more sachets - and cherry pit pillows - coming from that blouse yet!



Not bad for a single day, I'd say. I'm especially glad to have the baby book out of my hair.

Congratulations on finishing the baby book binding! It looks wonderful. And yay for re-purposing the linin shirt. Sounds like you'll get a lot more use out of it as crafting materials.

I'm small but wearing an oversized cardigan to keep warm. It's about 6 sizes too large for me, so I look like a misshapen turquoise lump. I don't care, I ned the warmth and I can wear it over all my other layers.

I see your point, although a light summer shirt is a different thing. The problem with this one was the cut: asymmetrically-cut things just don't look well on me. And wearing it in the house would have meant washing and ironing it all the time, and ironing is something I avoid whenever I can. *g*

I don't blame you. I don't iron anything. It's not that I mind the ironing so much, it's just such a hassle, getting the ironing board out, waiting around while the iron heats up...

Three rows on nephew's blanket, which puts me half done with the second mosaic part!

Also, 2.5 hours of watching a favorite streamer's VOD and knitting. Yay! Hands need a break now, but I might do more after dinner later tonight.
