Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.
Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?
There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.
This Week's Question: Do you like to finish one project at a time or do you prefer having several on the go?
If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.
I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

I'm also still preparing the cut pieces of fabric, hoping to get that all done within the week because I still have to cut more fabric for the rest of the designs I have picked out. I think I got a bit carried away...

Good luck with your fabric prep!

It's boring and tedious, but it's necessary to make it easier for me to find where I am on my stitching.

I'm a chronic one-project-at-a-time-r. I technically have two right now but I cannot switch between them; the cover-up has to get finished before I go back to the baby blanket, and then I'll continue having one project at a time.

Something like the beach cover does require concentration. Getting distracted by other projects wouldn't be a good idea.

I have picked out a thread project to work on next, but may not start it today.
Weekly question - this varies a lot for me. If I have a hard project in progress, I like to have a dishcloth to switch to on days my hands are less cooperative.

Ooh, what sort of thread project?
That makes sense =)

Good luck with the lavender sachets, the family obligations, and the book binding.

Yes, good thing you weren't working on the book binding, that's best done without interruptions.

Today was a death by a thousand duck bites kind of day. There were a couple craft positive things I did get done today.
Father's Day is this weekend and I managed to get some collage materials for a card to go with the present. I am going to probably have to make an oversized card to accommodate them though.
When I realized that book club was cancelled and I seemed to be the only one that didn't get the memo, I checked out some DVDs to watch while I knit, mostly in hopes to get back to knitting. They were series 2 of Poirot and season 1 of nos4a2.
And while I was waiting for my ride to pick me up again, I chatted with the girl working the library desk. She is fascinated with how badly I crochet and really wants to see the amigurumi dinosaur, if I ever finish it. It's a bit of extra motivation.

Enjoy your DVDs. I hadn't heard of nos4a2 before, but it sounds intriguing.
Good luck with the dinosaur!

Funnily enough, I never got to that one that round, but I actually have it again right now.
The dinosaur still mocks me.

Enjoy the movie!

2/2
While I was there, I also managed to put together 2 more card kits. Normally, I wouldn't have pushed to get a second kit done, but Lynne and her son were both pushing to do 4th of July cards and I did not feel like trying to find all the supplies on that theme to put something together a second time.
