Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

I've started the last of the pressed flower designs. Stitched some of the shadows and the stem for the central flower. This design has a largish flower in the middle with four smaller ones around it. Hoping to do some more stitching while watching TV.


I've also marked out the stitching areas on another batch of cut fabric. Still stacks yet to do, but I'm making slow progress on getting everything ready for stitching.

It seems you've decked yourself in with stitching projects for the next ten years or so. ;)
But as long as you enjoy doing it, it's great.

I would not be surprised! I do enjoy it though, and it's time I stopped looking at things I'd like to stitch and actually got on with stitching them.

Oh, I'm really looking forward to seeing that flower design if you're able to post pictures when you finish :D Hope the rest of it goes easily!

There will be pictures eventually, but I still haven't sorted out photos of the last three sets of designs. Need to find time to take photos, upload them, edit them for size... Gah! Too many things I'm trying to do!

The skies have cleared up by the late afternoon, so I risked to take Louise to my friend Erna at school. We studied the user's manual for a while and re-did the threading; apparently, I had made a mistake with that previously. So, Louise was intimidated into cooperation - now if only I could learn the high art of sewing in a straight line! (Fat chance of that!).

So glad you've sorted your issues with Louise. Hopefully you won't have to do all the seam stitching on your sachets by hand now.

Well, even after several years I'm still very uncertain about handling her, but I'm trying. *g*

Made the quilt top (mostly) and submitted it for the show.



And also came up with another quilt idea for another quilt show.

Still no crafting on the horizon, but I made some advancements in house upkeep despite feeling crummy, and even put together my new electric piano stand, which had been sitting in a box here for months.

Sucks that there's still no crafting for you, but yay for new piano stand!

You see? Progress. Putting together a piano stand definitely counts as art. One that we repeatedly fail at during choir practice. ;)

xD For my next trick, I will at some point actually move the piano to the stand...
