Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

The second coneflower (possibly) is stitched, and I've started on the second pansy. The shadow is done, and most of the flower's bottom section. Once that's finished I'll just have the backstitch to do on this one, then the two other designs in the set. With them being pressed flower designs, it set me thinking about my old flower press and wondering if I could use that to flatten creased fabric... Might give that a try.


I've also been thinking about all the 11 hpi aida I've got, and wondering if I could stitch small designs on that using some thicker perle threads I got off ebay years ago. Not a very wide range of shades, but I might have a go, just as an experiment.

Strictly speaking, it was mum's flower press, brought second hand, and the flowers in it must have been from my sister's first wedding over 45 years ago. They're all brown and horrible. Seriously considering trying with fabric though.

I've spontaneously decided to skip Page 8 for the time being and finished the inside of the back cover instead. I think it turned out funny... and pretty enough as well. Who'd have thought that the lid of a Lindor chocolate box would look so well as a photo pocket? *g*



One more page to go, and then the binding.

One more row on the beach cover-up - this row was a headache, it took nearly two hours. Luckily the next row looks a bit simpler!

I'm so impressed by your handiwork - when I tried to re-learn knitting half a year or so ago, I couldn't even get a 10 cm row right.

Thank you for the vote of confidence :) Knitting's hard! I hardly get through anything without a mistake, but I'm getting better at learning how to manage them.

I have gotten nothing done today (except a therapy session) because I have Chiaogoo needles arriving today for a project I'm very eager to cast on, and I'm been anxiously awaiting them all day. I have no brain power to do anything besides refresh USPS tracking 2356363 times and read social media. It's 4:52pm and they STILL haven't arrived!

It's so frustrating waiting for something you need to be delivered. I hope your new needles arrive soon, so you can get started with your project.
