Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

I have finished stitching the the first of the two coneflowers, and the shadow for the second one. I could probably have done more, but today was the only really warm, sunny day for the next couple of weeks so I spent an hour and a half outside, battling brambles again. The whole garden is so overgrown, it's like a jungle. I had such plans for what I wanted to do out there this year, but it just keeps raining.

That sounds like a lot of hard work. Do you have good tools? Good tools are important. Although, by your descriptions, perhaps an oversized machete would be needful. ;)

I have the tools I need. I've been gardening all my life so I know what works for me and what doesn't.

That's still good progress on the coneflowers! Crossing my fingers you get some dry weather for a bit.

It would be nice, but there's more rain forecast and by Weds we'll be down to 14C again and I'll be struggling to keep warm. Ever since I let the fire out, aside from today it's been cold. I'm back in my winter clothes, plus extras.

You're not the only one! I have several other friends in the US who are melting in high temperatures while I freeze. British summertime is a bad joke. =(

The rain has been incredible this year. I'm glad you were able to get out in the sun while it lasted!

More rain is coming my way, and tomorrow night temps could drop to 7C where I live. It's ridiculous!

Page 7 of the baby book is done. I'm fairly content how it came out - except the card, where the ink got smudged a bit. But it is otherwise nice, so I decided not to redo it. I hope the recipient won't mind.
That teddy picture is so cute, and that was the only one I had, so I didn't want it to go to waste.



Tomorrow promises to be moderately quiet, too, so I hope to finish another page. That would be very cool.

Today I'm doing housework as the Roommate's gone on vacation, but I'm going to see if I can't pick a new craft project to work on this evening :D
