Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

More progress made on fairy number three. I've stitched most of her apron and the main part of her dress. I could have done more, but I stopped early and got on with cutting the pale lemon fabric into the pieces I need. Three of the designs I was going to stitch on the lemon might have to be stitched on another colour, since they're sort of left over. If I find more designs of a similar size I think I'll have enough fabric left over for them, but there's not much left. Not surprising after cutting pieces for 53 designs. Most of them are only small though.

How are your fingers doing after all that cutting?

Fine. The fabric cuts easily, so the only effort is in making sure I don't go off course.

And there's still more to do with the other two colours of fabric... o_O

Thanks, it's coming along well, despite a massive mistake I discovered yesterday where I'd missed out a whole row on one section I'd stitched the day before, and done the previous row wrong. I have no idea what I thought I was doing.

Did some more culinary crafting: baked cheesy scones and made an asparagus quiche. Yum!

After lunch I forced myself to work a bit on the baby book. I made exactly one card for the last finished page and added some embellishments. The pages seem to grow simpler the closer the headline comes, but it still looks nice, I think.

I'd have liked to make it more elaborate, but I've run out of patience and inspiration. Still, it is pretty enough.

You can only do so much. If inspiration and patience have fled, trying to push yourself to do more will only make you stressed and aggravated with the project.

Finished the body of niece's blanket! I should really weave in ends now, but knowing me I'll leave them for later and just start the border...

I've also cast on for Plumeria! I feel like a bad girl, casting on when I have another project to finish, haha. I couldn't resist, though - the pattern is way cute and looks good on everyone who's made it. I just hope it plays well with my yarn. I'm using Lion Brand Summer Nights which I have a ton of (some random person sent me some for FREE, and then I found more for sale cheap at Joann's). Original plan was to make a crocheted wrap top with the yarn, but that was giving me fits, so I went searching for patterns and found Plumeria. 😍 I'm just afraid that since my yarn is a short-run variegated colorway that I'll get weird pooling. We shall find out!

Rained last night, which we needed and it made me take a day off of garage painting. Back to that tomorrow.

Spent most of the day doing the weekly yard pickup, general tidying, and food prep. I'm finally sitting down with my crochet project.

Rain is good at preventing us from working on big projects, but it sounds like you got a lot done anyway.
