Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

I've finished stitching the leaves on the tulip design and done a bit of stitching on a couple of the flowers.


Also looked through more magazines and found some stylised flower designs that I could stitch on the pale lemon aida if I changed some of the colours, and three adorable teddy bears in Edwardian outfits that are a possibility, although they are quite large and would take a lot of work.


And I spent some time outside tackling some of the brambles. Painful but necessary.

Thanks. The rain over winter really seems to have encouraged them, they're everywhere!

Still got more magazines to look through, so I'm confident I'll find some other ideas.

Either of those sound nice. Brambles do not sound like fun, the only stuff in my yard that bites is the roses.

I should have enough fabric for quite a few projects, so I'll be able to pick the ones that I think will look best.

I have those too, vicious ramblers and stuff that's gone wild. I could do with leather gauntlets to deal with this stuff, but it's too hot to wear such things.

They sound worse than the ivy in our backyard. Mom's yard guy just cut down enough to reclaim a 5 foot wide strip of yard long the fence line.

Oh, I have ivy too, been battling it for years! You know what I like best about ivy? The smell it gives off when I chop it into little bits to throw in the garden waste bin =D

Last night I realized I needed at least a few minutes of crafting time, so I tackled the YipYip hanging basket. BEHOLD:




It's supposed to be lined in black fabric, I'm trying to decide if that's needed. I got it done just before my husband got home. He wandered into this area and gave a choked scream.

YipYip is adorable, he looks so fluffy! And your hubby's reaction is priceless!

It is *possible* that I tilted the basket just little so it appears to be looking at you as you come in the door, instead of straight on the wall.

No crafting today. I'm still trying to talk myself into finishing preparing for going to Lynne's tomorrow. The card kit is done and has been for awhile, but I should cut some extra pieces of the one we'll be stamping on. We'll see.
