Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Finished the backstitch on the anemone design and started stitching the tulip design. So far, I have about have the vase stitched, so not a lot done, but I spent a lot of time out in the garden today. My friend cut the lawn — first time cutting it this year because it was too wet before — and this afternoon I've been cutting back some brambles. Barely made a dent, but it's still progress.

Cutting back brambles must have been really hard. How are your hands doing?

I wore heavy gloves but I still got a bit scratched, even though I'm careful handling anything thorny. The worst scratches are from yesterday though, twigs can scratch bare arms as easily as thorns can. They're very deceptive.

I've made the faces of ten out of the twenty tiny teddy bears - they look really cute! Also, I've bought some more crafting supplies today for later use.

Hi! Found this comm somwhere mentioned, have forgotten where :)

Yesterday, actually picked up my long term knitting project, did a whole 3 rows. This is a 'while sitting and gaming' where I decide on a whim whether the next row will be knit or purl. It will be a blanket made in three lengths, have done one and am 2/3 through the second.

I'm not much of a knitter, so this is probably my most ambitious project ever. I'm using two very fine yarns together -- a pale brown and a forest green -- and that plus the size is what makes it 'tricky'.

That's going to be an interesting blanket when it's finished, the colours sound perfect together.

Do you do any other crafts as well as the occasional knitting?

Knitting is my 'don't need to pay attention (much)' craft, which is why random rows of one stitch. My main craft is crochet. Mostly I make blankets and squares for other people to assemble into blankets. Other than that I dabble in patchwork/quilting, sewing.

Woo! We have quite a few crocheters here and a brilliant quilter. All crafts are welcome here, people just liked the name get_knitted for the community so that's what I went with *grins*
