Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Stitched the border of the last Delft tile design, and part of the two little windmills, then abandoned my stitching to work on cutting back the overgrown front hedge. Making slow progress with it.

I know, but if I'm not careful it's going to grow faster than I can cut it back. Which, I think it already has =/

Thank you! I'm going to use the tropical flowers for birthday cards too. Most of the designs I stitch are done with that in mind.

I have so many lined up that I want to stitch, but I fear I will have to rinse and Iron a load of cross stitch fabric because it's all creased =(

It's not the ironing I mind so much, except that I haven't ironed anything in years and it's such a pain getting the iron and ironing board out. But if I get the creases out, how do I keep the fabric from getting creased again? So annoying.

Try rolling the fabric instead of folding!! *fingers crossed*

That can work in some cases, but a lot of the fabric is randomly shaped because I've cut bits off for projects, so rolling it might prove tricky, and then storing it without it getting flattened again... Fingers crossed for sure.

I didn't manage much today. My fingers are still hurting, so the songbook was no option. I did make the hangings for five more keyrings before I'd run out of felt stripes. Tomorrow I'll have to look for more leftovers for the remaining three rings. Seventeen done by now, and that's progress, too.

But I baked yummy things; that counts, too.

French brioches are very yummy indeed. I count myself lucky that I found a recipe which is actually easy to make. People always go on how difficult it is to make proper brioches (not the rot they sell in supermarkets under that name), but it turns out they just need to find the right recipe. These were light as clouds!

And my jumper is Done!! I knew it would be a bit too wide but it's actually wider than I thought; doesn't matter, at least it's comfy. It's warm, so warm. Maybe a bit too short but I still have yarn and I can lengthen it further. And maybe I'll add pockets later? at least one pocket?

Congratulations on finishing! And knitting downwards does have the advantage of being able to add more length if you need to. Pockets are always useful too.

Don't know how, but I somehow hurt a muscle in my shoulder/neck yesterday (stepping out of a car, because my body wants me to know I'm not as young as I used to be), so I'm off of crafting for a few days, probably.

Ouch! Bodies are annoying, they react badly to the stupidest things. I once injured my wrist reading a book. Took 6 weeks to heal. Hope you recover quickly!

Aging is so annoying! I keep discovering new things that are harder to do than they used to be regularly!

Eight rows on Nordic Stripes + Four rows on Rebel Ripple = four hours of crochet. I go splat now.

Excellent progress on both, but that's a lot of time crocheting. Not surprised you're going splat now, surely your arms must ache after all that!
