Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

I am not having a good day. It's just 1001 annoying things and stupid mistakes, like posting a fic and finding that somehow something else is where the title should be, editing that, and then finding a glaringly obvious spelling mistake that I had to fix on all my posts, then having to edit my LJ master list 3 times because the first time I put in the dreamwidth link, then used the right link but somehow missed off the html... The whole day has been like this!


I did get some stitching done, so the fritillaria tile is finished (Despite making mistakes that had to be unpicked and redone), and I've started the next design, stitched all four corners, although the second one I had to do twice because by the time I finished it, the first stitch was coming undone. I hadn't anchored the thread end *headdesk* The third corner I started in the wrong place, and the fourth one I ran out of thread with one stitch to go, so my needle kept coming unthreaded. There was just enough thread, provided I didn't mind re-threading my needle repeatedly, so I managed. I also lost my needle once, it magnetised itself to my scissors, and it's so small I had trouble getting it detached. *whimpers*


I do have the pictures on my computer now, but I'm not going to even TRY posting them tonight, because the way today's been going, I'd only mess it up.

Some days are just like that. *hugs* It's better not to try anything else today indeed. Hopefully, tomorrow will be better.

*hug* That's really frustrating. Someone on my flist calls it death by 1000 duck bites. It seems fitting. I hope tomorrow goes better.

That always reminds me of Londo on Babylon 5 talking about being nibbled to death by ducks *grins* He meant cats, but he's not human, so mistakes are understandable.

It was a very annoying day, felt like I couldn't do anything right =(

Not that I use fine china anyway, but if there was ever a day to avoid touching anything breakable, yesterday was it, lol!

I made another page for the baby book. It isn't completed yet, but almost. I'll have to add a few tags and cards, but otherwise it's done... and very pretty, if I say so myself. No sewing today; the abused fingers are still recovering.

Yesterday, I continued stitch-n-scream with that day's movie, H2O Halloween Twenty Years Later, and working on the shawl. I started things so late, that was all I had time for.

Today, I sent a progress picture to the person the shawl is for and she loves it so far.

Later, I went to Lynne's and we made cards with one of the pre-preped kits I made. It went really well and we had a lot of time afterwards to talk and allow her to take me on a tour of the backyard. She was in a better mood than she has been. The no filter adds an interesting layer to some of the stories she retells. Her dog is acting increasingly odd. She's been hiding under Lynne's bed and refusing to come out. When I was there she came out to hang out with me, then tried to come home with me. She's never done that before.

Tonight, more stitch-n-scream. The day 7 movie, The Evil Dead, finally came in and today's movie streams at the same place I had an issue with before, so I substituted it with The Power (2021). I'm still working away on the shawl.

Glad Lynne was in a better mood. Poor dog though, sounds like she's not coping well with the changes in her mistress.

Me too. She's finally getting in at the groomers though, so she should at least be more comfortable physically.
