Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

More progress on the tropical flowers! The flower itself is finished, then I did all the fiddly bits of cross stitching, a couple of small coleus leaves and a sprig of little purple flowers where it was two or three stitches each of three colours >.<


Still a lot to do, but what's left is less fiddly.

Yes, that's why I decided to get the fiddly bits out of the way while I had time to focus on them.

Some designs just have a lot of fiddly bits in them. I'm not fond of vast areas of one colour, but they're easier to cope with than stitches in ones and twos dotted all over the place!

It is! Once I get this one finished I'll take photos of all three. (The fourth I posted pics of last year when I turned it into a birthday card for my neighbour).

I have finished the main barrel of the basket, and need to start on the (minimal) shaping for the head/mouth next.

Four rows on niece's blanket today. PLUS I finished them before the FFXIV voice actor started his stream, so I was able to watch most of it, yay!

This afternoon I started making a bath pouf, because why not. I'm on the last round of it, but that's 675 stitches so will likely take a while. I'll try to finish tomorrow. Think I might turn in early tonight. It's only 9:12pm but I awoke early this morning and it's been a rather exciting day, both because of the stream and for other reasons I can't talk about yet, and I'm worn out.

I am done with the squares. All 56 of them. Well, I still have to weave the ends in, and to turn them into a blanket.
Before doing that, though, I did four small squares to try my hand at assembling. It went well, for a first time.

More working on the hat for stitch-n-scream. I'm pretty sure I'm finishing this hat out of spite. I did the day 2 movie, Practical Magic. I had planned on also doing today's/day 4 movie, but after dinner and household Sunday night stuff, I just couldn't muster the enthusiasm for it.

I had also planned on redrawing the card idea I was going to do last week so it's more legible, in case Lynne wants to meet tomorrow and finish the "speedy recovery" card I was making for her. These feel like tomorrow morning projects.

Some things are better tackled in the mornings, when you're hopefully more alert and focussed.

"Alert and focused" has never been used to describe me in the morning, but getting those things done definitely went better than if I had tried to push through and do them last night.
