Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

This Week's Question: Where do you do most of your crafting?

If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.

I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

My dishcloth or pot cloth or whatever the correct name is, is almost done. I've lined the two pieces of cloth, quilted it, added a little felt flower for decoration and a small loop to hung it up with, and seamed one of the four sides with blanket stitch. The originally more or less rectangular object has no an... interesting outline because the fabric stretched out rather creatively while I worked on it, but it will do well enough for our kitchen. And it means that I've saved a piece of Mum's favourite gown from the rubbish bin, so it's good.

Potholder. I must remember that. Thank you.

Yes, it was a sad sight when they handed me the cut-up pieces of Mum's gown at the ER, but I've tried to save as much of it as I can, so further potholders are in the coming. In various sizes and shapes. *g*
Too bad that there was nothing I could do for the nice, light grey cardigan that once used to belong to Grandma. That one was beyond even repurposing. I only kept the tiny little buttons.

I know. I'm not blaming them. It's just so that with the cardigan another piece of Grandma is gone.

That's a cool way to save some bits of favorite clothes.

Very well done *hug*

Great progress! And at least you've got the rich booty for all that walking and carrying stuff.

Sounds pretty good considering you didn't feel great.

Great progress. Hope you feel better soon :)

I'm about 3 inches up the side of the muppet hanging basket (need eight). Worked on it a bit earlier.

I am putting most of my energy towards outdoor projects. It's warm enough to paint, so I'm tackling the garage painting project which did not get done before it got too cold this winter. Today I finished scraping & repair on the east side.

At least I figured out how best to somit last time.

Wonderful progress on both!

That is a lot. Go you!

I do most of my crafting in 'The Study', which is both an office and a workroom and a spare room. It's not a large house.

I have thought about starting a YT channel entitled "messy crafting" which will be about Making in the midst of Mess, because all the channels I've ever seen, things are perfectly neat and tidy and organised and I am just ARGH MY SPACE IS SO TOTALLY NOT LIKE THAT.

Surely someone else has already thought of this.

Anyway, I have sewn the 'binding' on my Regency corset. I'm not actually sure it will work to keep my boobs up - I think maybe I have more boobage than the corset I've made can handle - maybe I should have done two gussets instead of one.

Hopefully will finish tonight.

I would totally watch that channel.

Good luck!

Today has just been awful, just lots of little things. I did some crafting though, possibly out of spite. I made a bottle cap art pendant and I made 6 more card making kits. They just have the papers precut and notes about anything else, as I plan on taking them home with me to have on hand when I have zero ideas for Monday crafting, assuming Lynne would like that to continue.

*hugs* Thanks

They have been invaluable.

Oof, I hope things perk up! Sounds like you still got some good crafting in anyway.
