Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Finished stitching the first big leaf and started on the flowers, a group of three, possibly African Violets, I don't really know. Each flower is in three shades of pink and I've stitched the first two shades. I could have done more, but I still have to make my sister's card, so...


I found a card blank, picked out a suitable patterned paper, cut it to size, and mounted it on the card, then stuck the stitching on the paper. I like how it looks. Now I just need to get my peel-off labels out and any embellishments I want to use. I'll do that in a couple of days. Storms forecast for tomorrow, so I'm not expecting much in the way of good daylight.

It's coming along really well! I want to get back to it, but I need to do some writing first.

Not much got done today. I've made two page bases for the new baby book but couldn't start on the inside of the front cover until I'd made drawings from the YouTube vid of how to decorate it. And I can only do that on my desktop PC - neither the iPad mini nor Methuselah-the-laptop can make YouTube work any more. *sigh*

Still, I did make the drawings tonight, so tomorrow I might be able to do some actual work. *fingers crossed*

That's especially annoying prep work, that your tablet won't cooperate.

The tablet is over 8 years old; small wonder that it can access a great many websites. And the laptop is more than 17...

A lot of crafting is preparation, tiresome but important. Sounds like you made good progress.

Last night I had a couple false starts with the fun fur yarn. This afternoon I restarted holding the fun fur with a regular worsted weight and it's going far, far better.

Glad you've figured out a way to work with the fun fur yarn. Fancy yarns can be tricky.

Spent most of the day running errands and wiped myself out completely, but I did make a cute little card for someone with washi tape. :)

Today, I set up some drawing practice, but didn't end up doing it and I went through some papers with the intent of card making. When I realized I was going to be able to watch Toonami, I was going to knit, but that didn't happen.

I did manage to find some self adhesive gems mom wanted to use for eyes on the dragon puppet.

On top of things being already weird, I have zero news about Lynne's surgery yesterday, there was a strange visitor to the door, and I got news that a friend passed away this morning.

I hope you manage to something in the way of crafting and that there's news of Lynne soon.
