Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.
Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?
There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.
This Week's Question: Where do you do most of your crafting?
If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.
I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

I'm now about a third of the way through the final owl in the set, which I hope I can finish quickly. It's a tiny one, only 22 x 25 stitches, and there's no background to deal with, so it shouldn't take more than a couple of days, and then I can start on something more colourful. I'm getting tired of white, cream, and multiple shades of brown.

The mother will find it special, no matter how simple.

Also, as to where I do most of my crafting - I do have a multi-purpose office which I like to craft in, but on occasion I'll be on the couch in the living room.

Must be great to have an office you can work in, but the couch is probably comfier.

The couch is comfy, but especially when working on the beach cover-up I like to have the table to spread things out on in front of me. The cover-up is getting heavy and it's more annoying to knit on the couch without some support in front of me.

Yes, it's good to have something taking the weight when you're working on a big project. Knitting draped across the lap gets really hot.

As for the question, at home, I work pretty exclusively from a little TV tray table. It's all I've really got to work at and I do pretty much everything there. At Lynne's, when we do our weekly crafting, we work at the dinning table.

Tray tables are useful, but they don't provide a lot of space. Enjoy having the table to work at!

ATCs were really popular/trendy about 10 years ago, especially for craft exchanges, then they kinda disappeared again. I enjoy them though. The only rule is that they be 2-1/2 inches by 3-1/2 inches and no more than a quarter of an inch thick. They can be made of any medium.
Indeed! My tray table also has a tendency to rub it's blue stain off on things, if I'm not careful. The extra space is welcome.
