Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

I went through all the designs I kept out that I want to stitch, and at least half are designed for Anchor threads. So I've made a list of all the threads I need to stitch those designs, and now I'm going through my threads to see which ones I've got, and which I need to order. Eeep!


I also did more stitching for my sister's card. There are three shades of green for the stems and leaves, I've stitched all of the darkest shade, and most of the second one, but I ran out of thread in my needle so I decided that was a good time to stop for the day. Hoping I can finish the stems/leaves tomorrow.

Yep! And I'm betting most of the threads I need I don't actually have. Don't know yet as I've been reading fanfic instead of doing inventory, but I'll get back to it in a bit.

I ned 26 skeins *headdesk* Could have ben worse I guess, but it's frustrating when I have the numbers either side of the one I want, just not THAT one.

No actual crafting got done today (save for the Easter ham that I've successfully cooked), but I did find the photo of the champagne cork bunnies that went to my colleagues yesterday, so I thought I'd share it:



They were originally made at the height of the pandemic and schools were closed before I could have give them away, but after a couple of years in Mum's cupboard they still look handsome enough if I say so myself. *g*

They're so cute! What a great use for old champagne corks =)

And they are hard to come by, too! Nowadays most champagne bottles have plastic "corks" (not that we'd drink them often, and even then only the alcohol-free version). I had all my acquaintances hunt for real champagne corks to make these.

That must have taken some time! I think I have one champagne cork from a party when I was in my early 20s

I've finished the dishes so I'm done with the regular chores for the day. Settling down with the mending basket, I have neglected that recently.

Tomorrow it warms up again (below freezing for a few nights) and I'm looking forward to yard tasks.

I spent more hours than I care to total up making a little dolphin for my niece, and it turned out so so badly. I didn't even try to frog it, I just chucked the whole thing in the garbage.

No crafting today. I feel like I lost 2 days somewhere. I sort of attempted to write, but I fear I will not get a fic done in time for the dragon prompt at story works.

That's a shame. You can still write it though. Maybe it's better not to try and find the lost days. They might be lost for a reason.

I completely forgot the dragon challenge, and it's right up my alley *sigh* Juggling too many other things

Time can be very un-cooperative on occasion. Just do what you can and apply no pressure to yourself!
