Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

I've prepared my fabric for stitching, but still no reply to the message I sent the seller on ebay, so I'm probably going to switch the Anchor threads for DMC, since the chart lists both, because at least I've got all of those.


Also went through more magazines and I've found some lovely oriental flower designs, might use on of those for my friend's birthday. Also found so many designs I want to stitch RIGHT NOW, so I've left about 13 or 14 magazines out, so I can keep on stitching. So ready to get started! My poor sweater will have to wait to be finished because now I want to stitch instead of knitting.

Interesting shift in the crafting!

If I were allowed only one craft I think I would pick collaging instead of cross stitching [assuming of course I could have UNLIMITED SUPPLIES to keep me going]

It always happens if I look at my cross stitch magazines. Not that I'm complaining, I don't need the sweater at present, but I do need to make my sister's birthday card and then maybe I'll just keep stitching...

Oh, of course, unlimited supplies for your chosen craft would come as standard *grins*

Once in a while, I think I'd like to try stitching again (I did a bit as a kid).

One square done today.
It's funny, because they're the same yearn, but the teal tended to catch on itself way more than the white and yellow do.

I'm stress-knitting a sock while I watch the finals of the women's world curling championships. This may require starting another sock if the game continues to be this stressful!

I've finished my bunnies-in-eggs. They've turned out very nicely. Lookie, lookie:



I also did some Easter decorating but don't want to clutter up this place. You can see the rest here. Hand-painted eggs, felt ornaments and Easter candle decoration all done by yours truly. Not this year, though; the eggs are almost 40 years old, and so is the candle.:)

Right now the main knitting projects I'm working on are the Paris in Berlin cowl and the Autumn Leaves linier top. I'm further along on the cowl, which has shorter rows.

Both patterns are lovely! Are you using the same colours as shown in the patterns, or are you being more adventurous?

I'm being more adventurous. For the cowl I'm using Bad Sheep Ice Fog, and I'm doing Bad Sheep Lucky Charm for the top!
