Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.
Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?
There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.
This Week's Question: If you were only allowed one craft, which would you pick?
If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.
I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

The logs arrived a little before ten this morning, and I finished moving and stacking them just before 11.30. Everything hurts now, bruised my forearm because one log dug in, and I flattened one toe by dropping a log on it. Thankfully it was a small log, not one of the big ones, which might have broken something. I just have a sore toe. Tomorrow isn't going to be fun, I'll probably be stiff as a board.

I have done two rows of the Nordic Stripes blanket today. I'm hoping to do 4 rows a day the next two weeks. That will finish up the first colorwork section. After that section is some easy, plain single crochet rows in stripes, so I can work on that at next Stitch Club.
I've also got plans to make a lily for a Nerdopolis submission. Just one flower, not a full plant. I'd be working on that now except I misplaced my 1.75mm hook. I do have a 1.65mm hook I could use, but... being that it's slightly smaller, I had problems with losing the working loop off it while doing my taller stitches, PLUS the hook has a rough spot on it so the thread gets caught, annoyingly. So I will do some searching to find the 1.75mm hook. You'd think it'd turn up easily since I just cleaned my room last week, but so far it has remained lost.
I did find my good darning needle while looking for it, though. Huzzah!
I'm hoping I can keep today's momentum up. I have a LOT of projects to do, after all, and most have deadlines.

A lily sounds lovely. Hope your crochet hook turns up soon. (Yay for finding the darning needle though).
Good luck meting all the deadlines!

In answer to your question, I suppose if I had to pick one craft it would probably be cross-stitch as the one I find I have the least problems with - sometimes my hands struggle with knitting/crochet, my shoulder struggles with the position of trying to balance something as large as the tapestry, I like things to be a reasonable success and my paint by numbers is still a bit hit and miss - they look great when they work well, but when they don't, I can't fix it.

Cross stitch is a lot easier on the arms than some of the bigger projects, and the designs are so varied too. Something for every occasion.

Haha, don't we all know the feeling!
