Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

This Week's Question: If you were only allowed one craft, which would you pick?

If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.

I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

Chores do have the unfortunate tendency to take away time and energy from much better things. *hugs*

I've baked three different sorts of Easter biscuits today and iced and decorated two of them - because I simply run out of space where to put them to dry, so the third batch will be prettied up tomorrow, when the two from today are already boxed. That counts as crafting, so I was very crafty today - right?

Kitchen craft is craft!
(Also, yummy!)

True. I so love making biscuits!

Indeed. And decorating them is great fun... usually. Unless the icing refuses to cooperate. ;)

There are good days and there are bad days. But the recent ones have mostly been good ones.

I'll post a photo when all 10 sorts are done. Two more to go, and then I can breathe again.

Had insomnia last night, and I am way too wiped out to do anything tonight.
Thursday, March 21st, 2024 06:44 am (UTC)
Hope you are feeling better soon.

Today was the 3rd of the monthly art book workshops this year. (Each month we make pages and we put them together at the end of the year.)

We found out some new things, maybe. Every class things change a bit. Last month, it was announced that October would be a make up class to do (or redo) any of the previous months' pages that you missed and putting your book together would be November or December, she still hadn't decided. Now, October, November, & December will all be for putting the books together and they will be accordion books.

Anyway, today we did Zentangle patterns on black paper with white pens. I really did enjoy what I ended up with, but the vibes of the group just felt off today. Though that could have just been me. I might have been the off vibes.

To answer the question, um, I'm pretty sure if I was only allowed one craft, I would die, lol, but probably drawing.

The creative energy needs multiple outlets.

Oh yes, very much so!
