Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Both my thumbs are being sulky today so not sure if I'll be knitting tonight or not *glares at thumbs*

I bullied my thumbs into behaving anyway, got 5 more rows done, considering doing two more before I cast off but I want to think about that and take another look before I decide.

I've finished another felt egg; didn't feel like sewing at all, but (fortunately) sheer pig-headed stubbornness pushed me along the way. But I've also baked two different sorts of Easter biscuits, so I have an excuse. Even though my orange chicken cookies look like mutant owls. *g*

As long as they taste good, they'll be fine. If they're too freaky, close your eyes when you eat them ;)

I'm all for equal chances! At least they are really yummy - but not truly suited for making actual figures. I think I'll keep the recipe but make simple round cookies next time.

Finally free from work after working ridiculous hours most of this week, so I'm planning on doing *something* crafty tonight, but it feels too hot to crochet. Might pick up some embroidery or work on a small sewing project.

I hope you find a project that will be relaxing.

I don't like to knit when it's hot either. The repetitive movements are great in cold weather to get the blood circulating, but not good when I'm already hot.

I actually ended up watching TV and just falling asleep early, which was actually great :D.

I really dislike the feeling of yarn in sweaty hands, and heat makes my achiness worse in general, so.

My needles get all clammy too and they don't slide the way they should.

Heat has a detrimental effect on creativity, alas. Something small and easy might be the right choice.

Makes it nearly impossible to knit, everything sticks.

One more square. I should get more crochet time on the weekend and not only finish the white squares (only three left) but get a start on the second color.

I have a royal blue, a dark teal, a mustard yellow, and an orange.

Spent an hour and a half detangling yarn for one of the blanket projects. Sigh. Still not done detangling it - there's a little bit left still.

Untangling can be so annoying when you just want to get on with the knitting or crochet. Hope you manage to get that last bit done quickly!
