Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Nothing from me yet, but I might try to knit a bit while reading fanfic.

You can do that? How many eyes do you have?

I can. It's not as easy as knitting while reading a book, because I have to keep pausing to scroll down more often than I'd have to turn a page, but it's possible as long as it's something simple like stocking stitch or ribbing, where I don't have to watch what I'm doing.

Only two eyes if you don't count my glasses.

I am very impressed with your multitasking! Clearly you don't need more eyes but another arm or long finger to scroll for you ;)

Yes, a third arm could come in handy, although it would mean having to knit three sleeves... Maybe a retractable tentacle would be better *grins*

Okay, I ask this as someone who would like to master this skill, how does one knit while reading? I can knit while watching TV/movies/YouTube videos, including ones with subtitles, but I haven't figured out knitting while reading books or fanfic yet.

With books I used a board across my lap with the book clipped to it and clipped open at the right page. Sometimes it took a lot of clips, lol! It was only possible to read if I was doing the ribbing or stocking stitch (stockinette) or on reverse rows that were purl. Same is true for reading fanfic of course. My laptop is on a desk so I can read off the screen, but I have to keep pausing to scroll down. Or to turn a page in a book. Takes practice (and a lot of clips or clothes pegs for books), but it's doable.

Since I didn't have to cook, I did a bit of crafting. Three of the eggs-with-a-pouch are finished, 11 more to go. And then all 14 bunnies sitting in the pouches. And less than three weeks till Easter. Why keep I doing this to myself again?

Easter is early this year so that's probably not helping! I'm sure you're on track :)

It is shockingly early indeed. I'm only one-third done with the Easter baking, which is not as much as I usually am two weeks before Easter.

Worked just a little on the dishcloth. Yesterday was devoted to gardening and laundry. I dug up a few things that I couldn't find in fall once the foliage had died back. I think the mystery plant next to the Peace rose might be a day lily (failed to dig it up 2 years running!). I have moved it (too deep, not in very nice area) and we shall see.

I've been knitting a daffodil as a birthday present for my mom. Will finish it tonight! Also: made a four-leaf clover lucky charm, and am almost done with a small octopus. The charm and octopus are for Nerdopolis challenges, and I can submit the daffodil in Area 51 as it uses stash yarn.
