Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

This Week's Question: Which craft that you don't already do would you most like to try?

If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.

I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

You were still knitting, and that's what counts.

Well done - you're doing well.

Don't know about you, but I was disappointed in DoI tonight - Adele didn't deserve to be the first knocked out IMHO and personally I wouldn't have had Ryan win - although to give him credit he has improved a lot and he did skate well this evening, although I still think others were skating better.

Today I was mostly working on the Easter bunnies... well, on the egg pouches in which they'll be sitting anyway. Each one of those has three concentric hearts as decoration, and I was stitching on those hearts all morning. The results: 3 out of the 14 pouches have all 3 of their hearts stitched on, the remaining 11 have two. I'm nearing the end of this phase, but there's still a lot of minutiae to do.

It's amazing what a motivation a close deadline can be. *g*

Well done, you're making great progress.

I'm trying my best. Of course, the facts that picowrimo is in session and that I've also started the Easter baking, don't really help.

After a six-month break (who would have thought that quitting the job that gave you burnout, having two months of notice period and then starting a new job would be exhausting?), I picked up a hook again this weekend.
I'm now four small granny squares into the 56 I will need to make a baby blanket for an upcoming niblings.
They're going relatively quickly, and they're easy enough that I can do them while watching light stuff on the tv, unlike amiguri.

The new job is great so far!

The baby blanket is the perfect project to start again: the basis is easy, it's going to be a gift, and there's a deadline 😊

I hope all is going well with the new job and that you are beginning to recover. Good luck with continuing progress with the baby blanket.

Managed a little bit more of the tapestry but not much.

Tried some new cooking this morning as I made lunch/brunch for family for mother's day - my parents, my sister and her youngest all came to eat. It was a 'veggie hash' - I had something similar at a local restaurant for brunch with a friend a few weeks ago. I also tried baking eggs - they were a bit less successful because they'd overcooked and so the yolks were solid - I might try them again at some point just need to work out whether I need to drop the temperature or the cooking time.

A little bit is more than nothing. Besides, you were busy.
Interesting that you folks have mother's day in March. Over here, it's the first Sunday of May.

I am doing i-cord bind off for the first time. I lost yarn chicken on the bind off, but it is nice to be almost done.

It puts a stretchy and fluffy edge on things. I wasn't sure about it, but I watched Stephen West's tutorial a lot and tried it out.

Sewing seams on a top because it's a day off.
