Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

I had intended to sew up the shoulder seam of my sweater and pick up for the neckband, but I had chores to do and I ran out of daylight. Maybe tomorrow.

Chores have the annoying tendency to take up time we could use for more pleasant things. *commiserates*

The trouble is, it's still getting dark so early and sewing up is a lot easier on the eyes in daylight. Artificial light isn't bright enough.

Oh, that's aggravating. Are your days going to start getting longer soon?

They are already doing that gradually. It's not completely dark until about 6.30 now instead of 4.30, but on cloudy days, which we've had a lot of lately, by 5.30 it's getting hard to see without the lights on and with bills going up, I'm trying to use as little electricity as I can. =(

Every bit of sunshine is welcome. Rained most of last summer and most days through the winter. Not surprising my garden's been under water half the winter. =/ British weather at its best.

No knitting happened at all today but I bought two balls of light purple yarn before catching my train.
ETA: also my mom bought a modular circular knitting needles kit, I can't wait to come back and try it!

Despite it being a busy day, I could squeeze in a tiny bit of crafting: I selected the papers for the next page(s) and cut them to the right size. Tomorrow, there will be the contouring to do, at the very least, since I bought brand new pale pink and pale blue felt-tipped pens. The old ones had nearly run out of paint and were a real ordeal to work with.
