Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

I got 20 rows knitted last night. Not sure how much I'll manage tonight, but I'm going to watch a DVD shortly, and I'll work on my sleeve then.

Another 20 rows done tonight! All the increases are completed so it's just working straight from here on.

If I can get any that are good enough, but red photographs really badly so it's unlikely the stitch pattern will show up. Of course, I have to do the neckband and sew everything up, and I still haven't sewn up the sweater I made last year...

I'll still try, even if I have to photograph the picture on the pattern so people can see what it looks like.

Sewing up is my least favourite pat of knitting. It's not hard, just time consuming and boring. I get there eventually though. Hoping to get thus one done this year.

I've squeezed in about 40 minutes of crafty time in the morning - way too little, TBH, but at least I've finished Page 3 to both baby books.

Here are the pages, pink the girl version and blue the boy one, as always. First closed, then opened.






The inscriptions are the same in both versions.

I sort of exhausted myself finishing up Febuwhump, so I'm just doing some coloring tonight, if anything, and otherwise giving my hands and wrists a break.

Congratulations on completing Febuwhump! Such a huge amount of writing there (I'll get around to reading the longer pieces over the next few days)

I'm *attempting* to be better about pacing myself. It's still a WIP XD

I've done almost all 23 cm of my circular knitting (220 stitches, it's getting a tad monotonous), yay!!

Not "if" anymore but when I'm done with this ugly jumper I'd like to try to do a complimentary béret so--either learn crochet, or tackle it with double-pointed needles?

Yeah, I imagine going around and around on that many stitches would get a bit boring.

Making a beret to go with it sounds like a fun idea though! Good luck with whatever method you cjhoose.

I am fighting myself not to start learning to spin; I simply don't have the time, space, or energy to start another fibrecraft hobby! And yet it's so hard to resist.

I think quite a few of us feel the same way. There are so many cool crafts, but we don't have enough time/space/money to indulge our curiosity!

Yeah, like I have picked up so many crafts semi by accident - I like to joke that I do all the crafts that anyone in my family has ever done because I tend to inherit or be gifted their craft stuff, which isn't quite true, but it's very close - and I'm a pro at getting starter stuff on the cheap,* but time? That I can't get cheap.

*the funniest was how I got my crochet hooks. I bought an ebay listing for a job lot of sewing and knitting supplies and it turned out to be someone ELSE's probably-deceased relative's craft stuff. Now I have the supplies to do crochet (or, for that matter, latch rug making). Thanks, Mrs B.!

Maybe Mrs B is looking down on you wondering why you haven't started crocheting yet, lol!

I have so much craft stuff myself, and more Aida for cross stitch than I will ever have the chance to use. More kits too... I keep telling myself one of these days I'll use all the stuff I've got, there's probably enough to stock a shop, but I'm getting older and a lot of it will probably never get used. Still, who knows? Maybe if I could get myself organised.

I wish you time to try some of the things you already have tools and materials for!
