Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

I've worked out all the shaping for the sleeve again, changed what I'd noted down before because I wasn't happy with it. Switched to the larger needles and I've done the first two pattern rows so I'll carry on with that a bit more in a minute.

Who do you most enjoy making things for: family, friends, yourself, a special someone? I love to make things and tend to make them with no one in mind but I really LOVE to make things for the hubby, my BFF and her family.

Today started innocently enough. First, I baked cashew-coconut balls, just because. Then I finished these little cuties:



But then Mum had to be taken to ER with cardiac arrhytmia (sp?), landed in IC and will probably have a pacemaker implanted. I'm scared witless, to be honest.

No crafting today. I did have to go into work on my day off to try to drop off a package that never showed up, printout return slips for a package I got wrangled into taking to the UPS store (which is still in the backseat of my mother's car), and look over some postage stamps to see if we had current ones, as apparently, the ones we've been using for 3 months are the postage rate from 2009.

I had planned on doing a lot of catching up today, but it wasn't in the cards. I have mostly made peace with that.

I may also be pretty scarce for awhile. Friday morning, I am taking on a pet sitting gig until Tuesday afternoon. I'm not sure I will have internet access at the house and the dog I am taking care of has never been left alone for more than 2 hours at a time, has a very strict schedule, and has never had a pet sitter. There are also 5 chickens.

Something will get worked out, I just don't know what.

Oh, I wish you the best of luck at the new pet-sitting job, hope it goes well. Dog and chickens... o_O
