Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

I've done 14 rows on the second side of the neck shaping, so just 14 more to do! Short rows now, so it shouldn't take long.

I was a bad girl today. Instead of finally start working on the binding of the songbook, I started sewing together the pages of the Christmas felt book. One double page out of four is done, three more to go. After which, of course, I'll have two books to bind. *headdesk*

I also made a kit for a few of these cuties, for later use. Meaning that I've cut out all necessary parts for two brown and two white bears, fixed the smallest parts with glue (they'll be firmly stitched on later, for safety's sake), and then put everything into a plastic bag. I'll just have to sew them together whenever the fancy takes me. I also cut out the bodies for two of those small keyring bears and put them into a medium-sized matchbox (7cm by 5cm). Eventually, the matchboxes will be lined with filling stuff and covered with pretty paper, so each bear keyring will come with its own box.

So much about not working on half a dozen things simultaneously. Especially as of the two baby books still only the covers are done. Yes, I'm insane, why are you asking? ;))

You are so busy! So many lovely and exciting projects! After all, you do need other things to work on when taking breaks from the binding so your fingers can rest a bit.

Anything that helps me to avoid working on the baby books... the only projects with an actual deadline. Pretty stupid of me, I know. *sigh*

Even when there are deadlines, sometimes you just need a break.

But I find that having a few different things on the go means you can work on whatever you feel in the mood for at the time, which is pretty productive. Book binding or felt bears... either way, something gets worked on! :)

I got my niece to try on the dress I'm cutting down for her and the arms were HUUUGE but it made us both laugh. It's sitting pretty well apart from that, so now I can start the hand finishing in dribs and drabs. This is a sewing machine inside and hand finished only project, but it'll still take up a bit of time. Thinking I can sew at work in my lunch time and just eventually get it done that way. Maybe some simple embroidery around the neck.

I prefer long sleeves, but that's a little extreme, lol!

It's a lovely colour though, and should look great when its finished.

This reminds me of my feeble attempts to find clothing that would actually fit. Everything I can squeeze myself into (I am a Hobbit) has sleeves like this. Chubby person with relatively short arms and clothing from the rack - a true nightmare!
