Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

20 has been pretty consistent!

It's one full pattern repeat, so it's easier to keep track of where I am if I stick to 10, 20, or occasionally 30 rows a day

Culinary crafting today again: I've baked Mum's birthday cake.

I still have to make the butter cream filling. But I'm determined to finish it. She'll turn 92 tomorrow, after all!

Well, it is a hummingbird cake with cream cheese and mango puree filling, so let's hope so. ;))

Well, I messed up the filling spectacularly, so that I had to improvise a new one in the middle of the night. *sigh* We ended up with another example of "ugly but yummy".

I sewed a quilt backing, then decided to switch it out for something else. So I have an extra backing. Luckily I have plenty of quilt tops for it to go with...

Mostly house project day here. But over the last couple days we've tried to do mending on a pair of shoes. I tried sewing it and couldn't, husband tried and broke the needle. So we decided to glue it and call it good.

Do you have a special glue for shoes and leather? Uhu used to have one; I'm protecting the last half-tube of it like a dragon its hoard. It is so very handy!

A bit of work on the tapestry - beginning to think I may have underestimated how long I need to finish it as I was hoping to get it done by the end of next month. Still progress is progress even if it seems smaller than hoped!

I've had a string of bad days and spotty internet access, but I did get myself to add a couple rows to the hat today.

Since I last checked in, I also finished decorating the current 2024 bullet journal layouts.

With that project out of the way, I have a book of color it yourself postcards I started working on. I'd meant to be actually sending the postcards awhile ago, so it's kind of overdue. This book of them is cats (and I may have more than one copy of it). There are 10 different images and I've done 8 so far. Most of them have been simple 10 - 30 minute coloring jobs, but one had so much tiny detail, it took me close to 4 hours and my shoulder hurts afterwards. And technically, I didn't finish the eyes.
